Launching Edge with different profiles using shortcuts – Tahoe Ninjas

Restored my lost my profiles by using shortcuts as described in this  great blog by

What happened?

I lost all my 23 profiles during an upgrade of Microsoft Edge / Windows 11.

After checking the directory C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\ I found that the profile directories were still there but were not visible in the Edge profile switch settings menu anymore.

The solution!
By running the command:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe –profile-directory=”Profile xx” where xx is the number of your profile I was able  to restore the profiles in the menu. Only passwords need to be entered again.

Set up Viva Learning and publish your own content using SharePoint

Viva Learning was launched to GA (General Availability) at Ignite 2021 Fall Edition and rolled out to commercial Microsoft 365 tenants during the last months of 2021. Your employees will, by default, be able to begin using Viva Learning right away without any IT administrator action to enable it or configure it. Now is the time to get to grips with what is available to configure, and how you can use the built-in functionality to good effect.

Creating a video portal in SharePoint with JSON formatted document library

“Often times we store videos in SharePoint and use the file viewer or the highlighted content web parts to display videos on the homepage of the site. With Microsoft Stream also moving towards SharePoint for storing meeting recordings, the use of videos in SharePoint site pages could increase. Recently I worked on an event page in SharePoint and thought it would be useful to have a video portal created for the event to store and display event session recordings.”

New Feature: Improvements to the Text web part for SharePoint pages and news – M365 Admin

We’re adding the ability to paste inline images into the Text web part so that images can be closer to text and so that text can wrap around images. We’re also addressing feedback to reduce line spacing in text. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85584

When this will happen:

We expect to begin this rollout to Targeted Release customers starting in mid to late September and expect to complete the rollout to all customers by early October.

How this will affect your organization:

Authors of SharePoint pages and news will be able to paste images into the Text web part and align the images to the left, right, or center with text wrapping.

We’re also addressing feedback on the text line spacing by reducing the line spacing size between header and body text, and in between bullets points.
